Razi Abedi Professor Razi Abedi is a literary figure, activist and scholar of Pakistan. == Life == Razi Abedi was born in 1933, Sonipat India and migrated with his family to Pakistan once Pakistan came into existence.He completed his graduation in science and later opted literature, and did his master's degree in English Literature from Punjab University. Razi Abedi is one of Pakistan's foremost literary figure. He was chairman of the English department at University of the Punjab, Lahore and has published extensively on the literatures of both East and West. He received an M.A. in English from University of the Punjab. In 1968, he went to England for higher studies and attained M.A. and Tripos from Cambridge University in 1969. He is particularly interested in Urdu literature in the context of third-world literature and the literature now being produced in the West.
